WICOMICO YOUTH & CIVIC CENTER

COLONEL RICHARDSON (MD) 48, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN (MD) 47
2020 guard Rakai Jones had 13 points to lead the Colonels to the Bracket #18 title.

2020 guard Diante Dickerson registered a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds for Colonel Richardson.

2021 guard Khalil Kosh had 14 points and six rebounds for Ben Franklin.

BALLOU (DC) 57, INDIAN RIVER (DE) 44
2020 forward Cyrell Ellis put up 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Knights to the consolation victory.

2021 forward Anthony Martin added 12 points and eight rebounds for Ballou.

2021 guard Gage Spinks paced the Indians with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists.

ST. ALBANS (DC) 46, WILLIAM PENN (DE) 39
2020 guard Michael Katsock had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to the Bracket #16 title.

2021 forward John Ford added 11 points and seven rebounds 

2020 guard Julian DeJesus paced William Penn with 14 points.

SEVERN SCHOOL (MD) 71, KENT COUNTY (MD) 49
2022 forward Adam Angwafo posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Admirals to the consolation victory.

2022 guard Justin Queen and 2020 guard Ian Munroe added 12 points each for Severn School.

2020 guard Logan Cannon and 2021 guard Tylante Wilson led Kent County - playing without injured star guard JayShaun Freeman - with 17 points and 16 points, respectively.

LANDON (MD) 79, LAKE NONA (FL) 67
2021 guard Kino Lilly had 24 points to lead four Bears in double figures as Landon took home the Bracket 15 championship.

2020 guard Canin Reynolds had 19 points for Landon, which got 10 apiece from 2022 guard Mike Gray and 2021 guard Chantz Harley.

2020 guard Austin Allison had 16 points to lead Lake Nona, which got 14 from 2020 guard Jaylen Harper, 12 from 2021 guard Bryce Johnson and 10 from 2020 forward Andre Cooper, Jr.

GILMAN (MD) 58, EAGLE ACADEMY (NY) 55
2022 guard Christian Winborne had 23 points and 2020 guard Jordan Foster added 13 as the Greyhounds closed out their Governor’s Challenge trip with a victory.

2021 guard DaMarco Watson had 18 points to lead the Eagles, while 2021 guard Edwin Santiago and 2020 guard Verson Simmons had 10 apiece.

ELIZABETH (NJ) 67, BOYS LATIN (MD) 47
2020 forward Jordan Price had 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Minutemen closed out another successful Governor’s Challenge stint.

2022 guard Jayden Pierre had 15 points for Elizabeth, while 2020 guard DJ Watkins had 12 (and 6 assists) and 2021 guard Evan Perez finished with 11

2020 guard Kendall Walker had 14 points and 4 assists to lead the Lakers, while 2020 guard Riar Schell had 12 points.

ARCHBISHOP CURLEY (MD) 49, PARKSIDE (MD) 35
2020 guard Caleb Johnson had 16 points to lead the Friars, while 2020 forward Dalyn Brandon had 13 in a bracket consolation victory.

2021 guard Darrin Mitchell had 13 for the Rams.

ROCK CREEK CHRISTIAN (MD) 71, SOUTH SHORE (NY) 63
2020 guard Kyree Freeman-Davis scored 14 points to lead the Eagles, who went 2-0 to close their Governor’s Challenge trip.

2021 forward Zaakir Williamson had 13 points for Rock Creek, while 2020 guard Delonnie Hunt had 11.

Zaire Wells had 22 points for South Shore, which got 19 points and 10 rebounds from Jaqui Murray.

THEODORE ROOSEVELT (DC) 93, ARCADIA (VA) 48
Theodore Roosevelt used its high-octane offensive approach to run past Arcadia in the Bracket 17 Championship game.

2020 forward Arande Johnson had 13 points to lead the Rough Riders, who got 11 apiece from 2021 guard Jasir Tremble and 2020 center Marcel Gabriel.

Lethon Williams had 15 points to lead the Firebirds, while Jaden Hope finished with 14.

LEGACY EARLY (SC) 47, BALBOA (CA) 43
2020 guard Rayshon Harrison had 13 points, 2021 guard Jacobi Wright 12 and 2021 guard Ike Cornish 10 as the Lions held off the Bengals to close out the boys DMVelite Showcase Division action.

2020 guard EJ Neal had a game-high 19 points for Balboa, which went 2-2 on its East Coast trip.

ST. ANDREWS GIRLS (RI) 56, MEDGAR EVERS GIRLS (NY) 37
2021 guard Ava Owens had 14 points, 2021 forward Ella Fiore 12 and 2023 forward Cameron Rust 10 to lead St. Andrew’s to victory in the inaugural girls game of the week at the WY&CC.

2020 guard Kayla Williams had 13 points to lead Medgar Evers.

MARYLAND-EASTERN SHORE

LAUREL GIRLS (DE) 59, MARDELA GIRLS (MD) 23
2023 guard Carlie Venables powered the Bulldogs to a convincing bracket semifinal victory with 18 points, seven steals, and three assists.

2021 forwards Nakayla Smith and M’rya Thompson each scored 12 for Laurel.

2022 guard Mackenzie Mills paced 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors.

WICOMICO GIRLS (MD) 53, GERSTELL ACADEMY GIRLS (MD) 45
2020 guard Leyanna Petit had 20 points and 2022 forward Shymira Shelton added 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead WiHi to an opening victory.

2022 center Kylie Redman had 17 points for the Falcons, while 2020 guard Emily Fenwick finished with 12.

ST. MARIA GORETTI GIRLS (MD) 47, MCLEAN GIRLS (VA) 43
2020 guard Kyriah Stubbs had 13 points and 2021 center McKenna Rife 11 to lead the Gaels.

2020 guard and Drexel commit Elizabeth Dufrane had 10 points to lead the Highlanders.

SANFORD GIRLS (DE) 64, WILSON GIRLS (DC) 22
2022 guard Abby Meredith had 14 points and 2022 guard Amiya Carroll and 2020 forward Allorie Kubek had 13 apiece to pace Sanford.

223 forward Soleil Kennedy had 8 points to lead the Tigers.

FREDERICK GIRLS (MD) 44, WINSTON CHURCHILL GIRLS (MD) 43 
2021 forward Rose Bubakar had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2023 guard Yanniah Boyd added 10 points, including a free throw with 2.5 seconds left in the game to give the Lady Cadets the victory.

2020 guard Brittini Martin had 13 points to lead the Bulldogs, while 2021 forward Parker Hill added 10.

PARKSIDE GIRLS (MD) 51, LINGANORE GIRLS (MD) 48
2022 forward Jacqueline Wright had 20 points and 10 rebounds and 2022 guard Amanda Ballard added 18 points as the Rams advanced to bracket final.

2021 guard Emma Kokoskie had 18 points and 2021 guard Darbe Reesman 14 for the Lancers.


WT WOODSON GIRLS (VA) 49, RICHARD MONTGOMERY GIRLS (MD) 30
2022 guard Eunice Yoon had 13 points to lead the Cavaliers, while 2020 forward Sarah Wilson added 11.

2020 guard Anujin Dashdorj had 12 points and 5 rebounds for the Rockets.


WICOMICO HIGH SCHOOL

SALISBURY CHRISTIAN GIRLS (MD) 43, SNOW HILL GIRLS (MD) 41
2022 guard Kaela Mitchell had 16 points to lead the Jaguars to an opening victory.

2021 guard Isabella Morrison added 8 points and 10 rebounds for Salisbury Christian.

2023 guard Amiyah Brunson had 22 points and 19 rebounds for the Eagles, who also got 10 points and 8 rebounds from 2023 guard Mariah Murray.

JM BENNETT GIRLS (MD) 74, KIPP COLLEGE PREP GIRLS (MD) 30
2020 guard Zy’Aire Smullen had 21 points, 2021 guard Mekara Hanson 17 and 2020 forward Olivia Owens 14 points and 18 rebounds for the Clippers.

2022 Malaysha Mclaren had 12 points to lead the Panthers.

2021 guard Danasia Toney had 11 points and 9 rebounds, while 2020 guard Kayla Williams added 10 points to lead Medgar Evers.

2020 forward Carter McGloon had 7 points and 7 rebounds for the Vikings.

SOUTH LAKES GIRLS (VA) 61, WOODLAND HILLS GIRLS (PA) 58
Forward Brianna Scott had 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Seahawks to an opening victory.

Leila Copeland added 16 points for South Lakes.

2021 forward Peyton Dinkett had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Wolverines, while 2020 forward Joi Burleigh added 14 points and 17 rebounds and 2022 guard Jazmine Dunn finished with 13 points.

2021 guard Jaden Bryan had 15 points to lead the Lions to an easy victory.

2021 guard Daniya Dashiell led the Ravens with 7 points.

2023 guard Paige Smith scored 15 points to lead the Warriors over the Mallards.

2022 guard Liz Baeurle had 11 points to lead Worcester Prep.

2020 guard Vanessa Schwarzmann poured in 28 points to lift the Lions to victory in Monday’s nightcap.

2021 guard Alexia Hackett had 13 points for Largo, while 2020 forward Taylor Lewis had 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

2020 forward Clare Bradshaw had 24 points to lead the Hornets, while 2021 forward Carly Linthicum finished with 17 and 12 rebounds.
