St. John's guard Malik Mack headlines the DMVelite All-District squad.

With the 2022-23 high school basketball season now firmly in the rearview mirror, we are proud to announce our All-District selections for Washington, D.C.

Our staff would like to thank the players, coaches and fans who made this past season – our 13th year of high school coverage – a success, and we look forward to many more. In addition to this All-DC team (which features only players from schools located in the District), we'll be rolling out All-Maryland and All-Northern Virginia teams in the coming weeks.

And now, here’s our selection of the District’s best of the best – the 2023 DMVelite All-DC Team:

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: MALIK MACK, ST. JOHN’S 2023 GUARD

The Harvard-bound Mack built off a breakout junior campaign with an even stronger senior season, averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game to lead the Cadets to the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Tournament title.

COACH OF THE YEAR: PATRICK BEHAN, ST. JOHN’S

Behan led the Cadets on a movie script-level ride to the WCAC Championship, as he battled an  amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis while guiding the program to its first league title since 2016.
