The DMVelite Team is pleased to announce the 2023-24 DMVelite All-Maryland Team. This group is perennially the hardest to choose, as it represents our largest single area of coverage - the entire state of Maryland - and encompasses a wide range of extremely talented players.
Our staff would like to thank the players, coaches and fans who made the 2023-24 season – our 14th year of high school coverage – a success, and we look forward to many more. In addition to this All-MD team (which features only players from schools located in Maryland), we've rolled out our All-DC Team and will be releasing our All-Northern Virginia team soon.
And now, here’s our selection of the state’s best of the best – the 2024 DMVelite All-Maryland Team:
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: CAMERON WARD, LARGO 2025 GUARD
Ward filled perhaps the only hole on his already-stacked resume, guiding the Lions to the Class 2A State Championship a year after falling short in the title game. Ward turned in a dominant junior campaign, averaging 26.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
COACH OF THE YEAR: EMONTE HILL SR., FREDERICK
Hill led his alma mater to its first state championship since 1982, as the Cadets went 24-4 en route to the Class 4A crown.

FIRST TEAM
TY BEVINS, GWYNN PARK 2024 WING
The George Washington commit was named the Prince George’s County 1A/2A/3A Player of the Year after another strong all-around campaign.
JORDAN BRATHWAITE, MOUNT ST. JOSEPH 2024 GUARD
The Good Counsel transfer and Yale commit averaged 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game to lead the Gaels to the Baltimore Catholic League regular-season title and the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship.
FRANCIS FOLECAC, MT. ZION PREP 2025 FORWARD
Folefac posted 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks per game while being named the Metro Private Schools Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
CHASE FOSTER, EDMONDSON 2026 CENTER
The 6-foot-10 Foster has quickly established himself as the state’s top big man, averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots per game to lead the Red Storm to the Class 1A State Championship.
BRENDAN JOHNSON, CALVERT HALL 2024 GUARD
The Merrimack commitment averaged 26.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 2.0 steals per game while shooting 48 percent from the floor and 36 percent from 3-point range while earning Baltimore Catholic League Player of the Year honors.
NEIKO MUNDEY, SHABACH CHRISTIAN NATIONAL 2026 GUARD
After a solid first season at Good Counsel, Mundey broke out as a sophomore at Shabach and took his college recruitment to another level.
QAYDEN SAMUELS, BISHOP MCNAMARA 2026 GUARD
Samuels earned First Team All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference honors after a standout sophomore campaign that saw him average 22.5 points per game and emerge as one of the area’s most promising perimeter prospects.
ADRIEN STEVENS, BULLIS 2025 GUARD
Stevens enjoyed a breakout junior campaign, posting 14 points per game as the Bulldogs won the Interstate Athletic Conference (IAC) title.
MALCOLM THOMAS, DEMATHA 2024 FORWARD
The Villanova-bound Thomas continued to hone his all-around game, posting 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game to lead the Stags.
MALIK WASHINGTON, ARCHBISHOP SPALDING 2025 GUARD
A top football prospect at quarterback, Washington starred in his final season on the hardwood, averaging 18 points and 9.5 rebounds per game to lead the Cavaliers to runner-up finishes in the Baltimore Catholic League and MIAA A Conference tournaments.
