BLADENSBURG, MD - The second edition of the Girls Maryland Private School State Basketball Tournament opened on Tuesday with four games at Elizabeth Seton High School.
In the end, the top four seeds advanced to set up semifinal showdowns back at Seton on Wednesday.

#4 MT. ZION PREP 58, #5 ELIZABETH SETON 53
Tiara Thompson posted a game-high 22 points and Crystal Hardy had 17 as the Warriors held off the host Roadrunners.
Zoe Osby had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Seton, while Emma NuQuay had 14 and Nadeya Regala 11.
#1 BISHOP MCNAMARA 76, #8 ST. MARY’S RYKEN 32
The defending MDPSSBT champion Mustangs rolled from start to finish, limiting the Knights to just 9 total points in the second half.
Georgia commit Zhen Craft had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead McNamara, while NyAir McCoy had 11 points and Maisie Crowley and Nevaeh Roberson each had 9 points and 11 boards.
Aaliyah Harris led Ryken with 7 points. Jaela Fair and Sydney Thompson each finished with six.
#2 ST. FRANCES 76, #7 ROSEDALE CHRISTIAN 45
Sydney Sutton had 29 points and 11 rebounds while Heidi Williams had 17 and 10 as the Panthers advanced to the semifinal round.
Sutton had 11 of her points in the first half to help the Panthers build a 35-24 lead at the break.
Amora Alston had 11 points and 5 assists and Mone’t Edwards 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for St. Frances.
Kiki Scott led Rosedale with 13 points while Ayana Tabb had 11.
#3 BULLIS 75, #6 RIVERDALE BAPTIST 36
Georgia-bound forward Meghan Yarnevich had 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting and blocked 5 shots as the Bulldogs cruised into the semifinals.
Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka had a monster 21-point, 19-rebound outing for Bullis and Adora Nwude added 10 points as the Bulldogs dominated the opening and closing periods, outsourcing Riverdale a combined 44-14 in the first and fourth quarters.
Ariana Meriedy led the Crusaders with 12 points and Ja’hria Higginbotha added 9 points and 6 rebounds.
