*Blake Bozeman, a budding coach at the grassroots level, currently helps develop players within the DC Blue Devils organization and St Mary’s Parish of Annapolis. He wasted no time transitioning roles, as he is only two years removed from Division I college ball, where he was a standout combo guard at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD.

Bozeman began playing at an early age, competing nationally with renowned programs DC Assault & Paul VI Catholic, where he enjoyed a tremendous amount of team & individual success. From the youth levels through high school, Bozeman earned a reputation as an elite shooter with a high basketball IQ. Seeking an opportunity to expand his game, Bozeman traveled to Solebury Prep in Pennsylvania, where he continued to excel on and off the court and improve as an overall player.

Bozeman began his college career in 2011, and faced natural challenges to the faster, stronger, collegiate play. Fortunately however, he was well prepared for the demands of being a student-athlete and tackled his academics head on, earning honors recognition early on. With determination and initiative, Bozeman began to see parallel successes on & off the court, eventually becoming a 4-year starter and appearing in two conference championship games.

In his senior season Blake transitioned into a scoring role, where he experienced a doubling of his scoring average, & a career high 25 points, including a number of 20+pt games against the likes of Virginia Tech, Saint Mary’s, Northern Iowa, and University of Houston to name a few. He was awarded All-Tournament in the CBS Sports Cancun Challenge, and exhibited flashes of a consummate combo guard, with the ability to distribute as well as score the ball.

Bozeman ultimately exemplified what it is to be a scholar athlete having earned a bachelor’s of science in marketing in three years, preceding a master’s degree shortly afterwards. Blake Bozeman learned the game under the tutelage of his father, Todd Bozeman, and has become a student of the game with a lot of knowledge to share. His goal is to positively impact the culture of youth athletics, and enlighten players on the importance of being multi-dimensional. He intends to ensure that players are prepared for college, both on and off the court, and consequently prepared for life and a career.
