BOWIE, MD - The 4th annual DMVelite 80 attracted many of the area’s best players to Bowie City Gym on September 10, giving them an opportunity to get some high-level work in in front of media and college coaches while participating in seminars on life skills and college eligibility.

This year marked the DMVelite 80 debut of the Class of 2018, and it didn’t disappoint, with several players putting up noteworthy performances.

AUNDRE HYATT, MILLER SCHOOL (VA) GUARD

A highly-touted transfer from New York, the 6-foot-6 Hyatt [PICTURED] was one of the top players in the event, averaging a team-high eight points per game while also pulling down three rebounds per contest. He exhibited a motor and nice touch, and showed his range by knocking down six 3-pointers. Hyatt’s current list of offers includes East Carolina, Hofstra, Iona, Maine, LaSalle, Providence, St John's, Southern California, South Florida, St Louis, UMass and VCU. (MH)

EVAN BUCKLEY, STONE BRIDGE (VA) GUARD
Buckley was comfortable and in control from the beginning, dishing out an event-leading 4.7 assists per game. The Stone Bridge product also averaged 5.3 points per game and grabbed seven rebounds while only surrendering one turnover in three games. (MH)


MEHKI LONG, ST. MARY’S-RYKEN (MD) WING
Long is an intriguing wing prospect with good length and range, and moved well with and without the ball. He put up 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in a pair of contests, making an immediate impact when he touched the floor. (MH)

JUSTIN MOORE, DEMATHA (MD) GUARD

Coming off a freshman campaign in which Moore [PICTURED] served as a vital piece off the bench, the rising sophomore is primed to make noise and crack the starting rotation this fall for the nationally renowned Stags. At the DMVelite 80, Moore averaged 6.7 points per game while dishing out 5 assists in three games. He also didn’t commit a single turnover in the event. (KM)

JASON MURPHY, CHAPELGATE CHRISTIAN (MD) FORWARD
Murphy is one of the area’s top young post prospects, with interest from a host of high-major programs such as Georgetown, Kansas State, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Washington. Murphy - who averaged 3.7 points per game - has great length and athleticism and was highly active on both ends of the floor. (MH)

MARVIN PRICE, PATTERSON (MD) GUARD

Price’s versatility was on full display in a stat-stuffing performance, as he put up 8.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while contributing two assists, two blocks and a steal. Price is a matchup problem for opposing guards, and effectively uses his strength to get to the basket and finish through contact. (MH)
