BOWIE, MD - The 4th annual DMVelite 80 attracted many of the area’s best players to Bowie City Gym on September 10, giving them an opportunity to get some high-level work in in front of media and college coaches while participating in seminars on life skills and college eligibility.

KIYON BOYD, HD WOODSON (DC) GUARD
The most high-profile player in attendance with nearly 30 Division I scholarship offers, Boyd [PICTURED] showcased his relentless motor and incredible nose for the basketball in the two games he played. While he’s young for his class, he bullied other attendees by getting to the rim with ease, charging his team in transition, jumping passing lanes and out-muscling big-men for gritty rebounds. Though being aggressive is Boyd’s modus operandi, he played smart and scored the basketball efficiently. For the day, he converted nine of his 14 shot attempts and only surrendered one turnover. He also knocked down three 3-pointers in four attempts and his 12 points per game were good enough for second in the showcase. Overall, Boyd more than backed up why he is one of the top prospects in the country. (KM)

BRENDAN ADAMS, CALVERT HALL (MD) GUARD
Adams [PICTURED] broke out as a high-level recruit this summer, picking up offers from Kansas State, St. Bonaventure, St. Joseph’s and Towson. It’s easy to see what college coaches like; Adams has a great frame (6-foot-4, 190-pounds) and the game to match. He averaged 6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, showcasing his impressive versatility. (MH)

JARED BYNUM, GEORGETOWN PREP (MD) GUARD

Bynum showed why he’s one of the top point guards in the area 2018 class, displaying a nice blend of speed and toughness to go with sound decision-making. He averaged 6.7 points per game and was the quintessential floor general, posting an outstanding 8-to-1 assist to turnover ratio in three games. Bynum's current list of offers include American, George Mason, George Washington, Lehigh, St. Joseph's, Towson and Winthrop. (MH)

ED FERGUSON, ST. FRANCES (MD) GUARD
Ferguson continued his breakout summer, posting a team-high 9.7 points per game while hitting 50 percent of his 3-point attempts (6-of-12). He’s strong on drives to the basket and finishes well. Ferguson has picked up offers from Siena and Southern Utah since the high school season, and will step into a much larger role this upcoming season following the graduation of star guards Daquan Bracey and Kurk Lee, Jr. (MH)

DEVON FLOWERS, POTOMAC SCHOOL (VA) FORWARD
The Gonzaga transfer has good size (6-foot-8 and still growing) and an intriguing inside-outside game. He was an efficient 6-of-10 from the field while averaging 4.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He picked up an offer from Radford this summer and should see his recruitment take off with a strong season at Potomac School. (MH)

BRAYDEN GAULT, BATTLEFIELD (VA) GUARD
A standout at last year’s 80, Gault’s shot wasn’t falling from the perimeter Saturday, but he showed his versatility by contributing heavily in a variety of ways. Gault notched 7.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2 assists per game, and seemed to be involved in positive plays all over the floor. (MH)

XAVIER E. JOHNSON, BISHOP O’CONNELL (VA) GUARD
The 6-foot-3 Johnson showed impressive explosiveness and change-of-direction speed on both ends of the floor Saturday. He averaged 5 points and 2.0 rebounds per game and showed nice anticipation while playing the passing lanes to notch 1.3 steals per contest, which was good enough to tie for second place. Manhattan and Towson has already offered the talented O'Connell guard. (MH)

MALIK KENNEDY, NATIONAL CHRISTIAN (MD) GUARD

Kennedy drew immediate attention with some electric ballhandling, including a series of highight-reel crossovers. The 6-foot-5 Kennedy has good length, athleticism and a soft touch from mid-range, and will be counted on heavily to contribute for a National Christian squad that graduated wing scorers Christian Matthews and Kabir Mohammed. (MH)

QUENTIN MILLORA-BROWN, BISHOP O’CONNELL (VA) CENTER
The O’Connell big man showed the tools that earned him a pair of Division I scholarship offers this summer from Mount St. Mary’s and Rice. He sees the floor well and did a nice job of passing out of the post, finishing with four assists to just one turnover while averaging four points and 1.6 rebounds. (MH)

DANIEL OLADAPO, BLADENSBURG (MD) FORWARD
Oladapo [PICTURED] is a physically gifted combo forward who presents a host of matchup problems, as he’s too strong for smaller wings and too athletic for larger defenders. He was relentless at the DMVelite 80, shooting 9-of-15 from the field while averaging 7 points, four rebounds and a block per game in three contests. (MH)

D’ANGELO TULL, ST. MARY’S RYKEN (MD) GUARD
The Ryken point guard took advantage of the opportunity to display his versatility, averaging 7.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. Coming off a very strong summer campaign with The District Basketball Club, Tull appears primed for a nice junior season. (MH)
