After the successful debut of a four-team girls' bracket in 2014, the 2015 Governor's Challenge returned with a deep 20-team girls field, split into two sessions over the course of the five-day tournament on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Session 1 featured two four-team brackets, while Session 2 hosted 12 teams split into three separate brackets.

Each team played two games, and the bracket champions were as follows:
Session 1, Bracket 1: St. John's
Session 1, Bracket 2: Sanford School (Del.)

Session 2, Bracket 1: Walkersville
Session 2, Bracket 2: Catonville
Session 2, John Coleman Bracket: Thomas Stone

Our DMVelite team consulted with media and college coaches on hand, and put together All-Session teams, along with naming one MOP for each session. Session 1 featured a single "1st Team" while Session 2 featured two All-Session teams, with the addition of an additional bracket.

ALL STATISTICS ARE TWO-GAME AVERAGES

SESSION 1 - GIRLS MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER
Samantha Pollich, 2019 F, Sanford (Del.): 14 points, 12.5 rebounds (Team Record: 2-0)
A freshman forward, Pollich — and the rest of her Sanford team — dominated in two easy wins, coasting to the girls Bracket 2 championship in their first Governor’s Challenge appearance. Pollich eclipsed the double-double mark in big wins over Parkside and St. Joseph By The Sea (N.Y.), and is part of an immensely talented young core for Sanford.

SESSION 1 — 1st Team
Jaydin Carodine, 2018 G, St. John’s: 10 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists (2 games)

Lauren Park, 2019 G, Sanford (Del.): 11.5 points, 8.5 assists (2 games)

Taleah Dixon, 2018 G, McDonogh: 17.5 rebounds, 4 rebounds, 2 assists (2 games)

Abby Meyers, 2017 G, Whitman: 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists (2 games)

Brianna Robisky, 2017 F, St. Joseph By The Sea (N.Y.): 10.5 points, 3 rebounds (2 games)

SESSION 2 - MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER
Jasmine Dickey, 2018 F, Catonsville: 19.5 points (17-24 FG), 7 rebounds, 5 steals (Team Record: 2-0)
Two years, two championships, two MOP awards. Jasmine Dickey won MOP honors last year as a freshman in the first year of a girls’ bracket at Governor’s Challenge. A year later, with 16 more girls’ teams participating, Dickey was up to the task yet again. In two wins, Dickey shot 71 percent from the field, and averaged just a shade below 20 points per game in two Comets wins.
