- May 31, 2018 - Trinity Christian School, Fairfax, VA

The Northern Virginia Elite squads kicked off their summer schedule on Thursday night as Fairfax Elite and Alexandria Elite squared off in a close battle. In the final game of the night, Arlington Elite squad showed why they're scary to behold with a big win over Prince William Elite.

Fairfax Elite  showed off a new look with Jacoi Hutchinson at the point guard spot. Hutchinson should prove to be a lethal weapon alongside sharpshooter Ben Woodward, as was the case in their summer opener.

Hutchinson finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals as Fairfax held on for a 63-61 victory in the end. Both teams opened the game trading blows before Fairfax went on a run of their own in the second quarter.

Alexandria used some adjustments at the half to keep things close in the final quarter. They were led by Macon Dean, who finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Ramon Jones Jr. also finished with 15 points and three rebounds.

In the second game, Arlington Elite made quick work of Prince William Elite, 62-33.  Arlington used depth and an onslaught of fullcourt pressure to stifle Prince William all game long.

The Arlington defense held Prince William to single-digit scoring in the final three quarters of the game and held them to 28.3 percent shooting in the game.

DeShawn Harris-Smith led the way for Arlington with 20 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Bryson Moore had 11 points, six rebounds and two steals in the victory as well.

Point guard Nasir Coleman finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, five steals and four assists for Prince William but it wasn't enough as his team took their first loss of the summer.
