Baltimore Elite made their PYBL Summer debut on Sunday, going 1-1 on the day against Anne Arundel and Frederick Elite squads.

Samartine "Fatman" Bogues and the Baltimore Elite team made their debut at Cesar Chavez School on Sunday afternoon in a pair of challenging games.

With the No. 1 ranking in the balance, Baltimore came out in their opening game and answered the call. They defeated Anne Arundel Elite, 60-49, behind 11 points, five steals and four assists from Bogues.

Bogues and company overcame 20 points from Jaden Johnson to get the double-digit victory. They led 33-30 at the break.

Baltimore held Anne Arundel big man Amani Hansberry to just eight points on 3-of-16 shooting in the game. Hansberry finished with 15 rebounds as well.

Baltimore guard Sean Clark also chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds. They used a scoring outburst in the third quarter (17-8) to take a double-digit lead before things came to an end.

Not a bad start to their summer season, but their next game wouldn't be an easy one either.
