Fairfax and Alexandria won handily on Thursday evening before a big slate of weekend games.

The Fairfax Blue Devils and Alexandria Knights got convincing victories over their foes to continue PYBL play in Week 5. Both teams won handily as Showcase Weekend approaches for the Boys Elite Division.

This weekend every team will be in action, some in must-see matchups, at Cesar Chavez starting at 12:30 PM on Saturday. Check out the rest of the schedule here.

The Blue Devils defeated the Prince William Mustangs, 78-45, behind another big game from Jacoi Hutchinson. Hutchinson's march to King of the Summer continues as he put up 25 points, nine assists and eight rebounds on 12-of-20 (60 percent) shooting from the floor.

Ben Woodward also had 15 points and six rebounds on 4-for-10 shooting from behind the arc.

Prince William played the game with just five players and fatigue showed at the end of the first half and the end of the game. The Mustangs put up just eight points in the second and fourth quarter of the contest.

Jeremiah Gorham and Nasir Coleman paced their offense with 13 points each. Coleman also snagged eight rebounds.

The Alexandria Knights got back to their winning ways, defeating the Charles County Warriors, 70-32, in a landslide. The Warriors remain winless after putting up single digits in all but the second quarter (10 points) as a team.

The Knights opened the first quarter with a 16-8 lead and never looked back, leading 39-16 at the half. A balanced offensive attack was enough as they won rather easily in this one.

Macon Dean had another double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) to bounce back from a down game against Southern Maryland. Cameron Gillus also had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Jayden Brown paced the Warriors with 19 points on 9-of-11 (81.8 percent) shooting from the field. Corwin Holland II was right behind him with 10 points.

This weekend has some big games on the schedule. Look for a shakeup in the next edition of power rankings as well as a much-needed Week 6 report in the coming days.
